I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
